The European Bioinformatics Institute (EMBL-EBI) and the NIHR Cambridge Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) are launching a postdoctoral programme that builds on the collaborative relationship between the two institutes, and will offer projects that apply computational approaches to translational clinical research involving human subjects. Post¿doctoral fellows will be appointed for 3 years to work on projects under joint supervision of a member of faculty from EMBL-EBI and from the Cambridge BRC.

Successful applicants will be able to choose from a range of projects - details of projects that are available through this scheme can be found athttp://www.ebi.ac.uk/research/postdocs/ebpods .

Successful applicants will hold a doctoral degree or equivalent qualification in statistics, mathematics, or computer science, or hold a doctoral degree in biological science with substantial experience in computational and statistical work. Applicants be able to interact with others in an interdisciplinary setting, and have good written and oral communication skills.

Applications must be submitted by 29 September 2014.

Interviews are likely to be held at the end of October / November 2014.
