Two postdoctoral positions are available immediately in Dr. Philip R. Hardwidge’s molecular microbiology laboratory at Kansas State University (http://www.vet.kstate. edu/depts/dmp/personnel/faculty/hardwidge.htm). These positions are funded by active NIAID/NIH grants. The successful applicants will focus on structure/function‐based studies of bacterial proteins that modulate the innate immune system of intestinal epithelial cells.
A PhD in the biological or chemical sciences is required. Demonstrable productive research experience in molecular biology, vaccinology, immunology, and/or animalexperimentation, as evidenced by first‐author publications in high‐impact journals is preferred.
