Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for a full-time fixed term position as a postdoctoral researcher with Pharmacology and Therapeutics at the National University of Ireland, Galway. This position is funded by Enterprise Ireland and is available from 1st September 2014 to contract end date of January 30th 2015.

Job Description:

The successful candidate will be responsible for producing and purifying recombinant cannabinoid receptors expressed in bacterial and insect cells and will contribute to testing the pharmacological properties of these proteins. The successful applicant will be affiliated with Pharmacology and Therapeutics within the School of Medicine. The research will be conducted primarily in the new Biosciences building recently opened on NUI Galway’s campus.

Salary: 38,860 per annum (public sector pay policy rules pertaining to new entrants will apply)

Start date: Position is available from 1st September 2014
