The Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida welcomes applications for a Postdoctoral position in the general area of tumor metabolism and brain tumor biology. Specific areas of emphasis involve the discovery of novel metabolic programs contributing towards gliomagenesis, defining their mechanistic underpinnings, and developing novel approaches to target identified metabolic programs. Preference will be given to those who have recently graduated with a Ph.D. degree in brain tumor biology and/or tumor metabolism. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, the capacity to independently lead individual projects, technical expertise in a variety of laboratory-based assays, and demonstrate a genuine interest in both understanding the underlying biology of brain tumors and extending laboratory-based findings into clinical application.
