The Laboratory of Molecular and Cellular Neuroscience, headed by Paul Greengard at the Rockefeller University, New York, NY is accepting applications from outstanding individuals specialized in electrophysiology for a 2-3 year postdoctoral research fellowship focused on deciphering the basal ganglia circuitry related to Major Depressive Disorder. The successful candidate will have published proficiency in striatal physiology and/or patch-clamp and field electrophysiology on acute slices. Experience with optogenetics and in vivo electrophysiological techniques is a plus. Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Neuroscience, Cell Biology, or other relevant field and strong communication skills, a record of scientific productivity, and a desire to work both independently and as part of a team. This position requires a highly self-motivated individual with excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
