A two-year postdoctoral fellowship is available from the 1st of September or later for an exciting translational cancer project at the Department of Laboratory Medicine at Lund University, Sweden. The Lab is very well equipped and situated at the state-of-the-art Clinical Research Centre building ( www.med.lu.se/crc). The project focuses on the role of Wnt-5a in cancer metastasis. Based on previous findings in the lab (J. Biol. Chem., 284: 27533, 2009; PNAS, 106: 19473, 2009; PLoS One, 8(8): e170890, 2013; Molecular Oncology 7: 870, 2013; Carcinogenesis 35: 784,2014) the signaling and functional role of Wnt-5a in motility, receptor expression and function in different types of cancer cells will be explored. We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate with a background in cell and molecular biology and who has the scientific ambition that is required to work in a highly motivated and supportive research team. Previous knowledge and experience in animal tumor models would be particularly appreciated.
