Job Description

The candidate must have a strong background in molecular mechanisms of pain and synaptic plasticity. Candidates should have solid graduate training in neuroscience, biochemistry, or genetics and a strong publication record using patch-clamp electrophysiological recording, imaging, epigenetics, or gene therapy. They must be proficient in all molecular and cellular biology techniques. They also must have experience with cell culture and small animal models of cancer. The candidate should have a good command of the English language and have strong writing skills, they should also be able to work independently and have a strong drive for discovery. Ongoing studies include epigenetic control of chronic pain, ion channel regulation in sensory neurons, and the hypothalamus involvement in hypertension.
