The University of Luxembourg has the following vacancy in the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB):

Postdoctoral researcher in human microbiomics – bioinformatics (m/f)

· Fixed-term contract 2 years, 40h/week, may be extended up to 5 years.

· Employee status (start date: as soon as possible)

Area: Bioinformatic analysis of integrated omic data from human microbiomes.

Tasks/Mission:

·Development, implementation and apppcation of bioinformatic solutions for the integration and analysis of metagenomic, metatranscriptomic, metaproteomic and metabolomic data.

· Implementation and continued development of user-friendly tools for genome-centric meta-omics.

Profile: 
· A PhD in Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Microbiology, Microbial Ecology or related discippnes. 
· Sopd experience in computer programming or scripting language commonly used in bioinformatics (Perl, Python, Java, R, etc.).
· Previous experience in bioinformatic analysis of mixed microbial communities or Systems Biology datasets will be considered assets.
· A good working knowledge of basic statistical concepts.
· Excellent working knowledge of Engpsh.
