Postdoctoral positions are available immediately in the Laboratory of Anil Bhushan at the Diabetes Center at University of California San Francisco to investigate biomarker discovery and development of diagnostic assays for diabetes. Other research in the laboratory focuses on the epigenetic mechanism in beta cell biology and translational research in developing therapies for diabetes. Ideal applicants should be able to generate libraries for next generation sequencing and be proficient in analyzing data for RNA-seq and DNA methylation analysis on a genome wide scale. The collegiality and interdepartmental organization at UCSF fosters interdisciplinary research and provides for broad training.
