The Laboratory for Neuronal Specification at the Burke Medical Research Institute has an entry-level post-doctoral opportunity for an individual with interests in molecular and genetic regulation of adult neural stem cell differentiation. The goals for this project are to establish mechanisms that specify cell fates of neuroblasts generated in the subventricular zone. This project will also develop methods to apply this knowledge towards the directed differentiation of neural stem cells in order to produce neuronal progenitors suitable for translational clinical applications.
