The Computational Systems Biology Lab (http://csbl.bmb.uga.edu) of the University of Georgia is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Associate position to carry out bioinformatics research in the area of microbial system biology, particularly to carry out network-based metabolic system analysis to develop predictive models for bioengineering target prediction. Developmental work of novel computational methods and software tools for reconstruction of microbial metabolic networks based on large-scale omic data will be needed. The successful applicant should have a Ph.D. degree in a bioinformatics, chemical or biological engineering or related areas with a strong background in biological pathways and networks, and should have substantial experience in computer programming and computational methods development. Previous experience in biological pathway and network studies will be a big plus. The University of Georgia is an Equal Opportunity Employer
