Applicants are invited to apply for a 14-month fixed-term postdoctoral research assistant position within NDCLS as part of a research project funded by the Kay Kendall Leukaemia Fund and aiming to gain insight into the role of the ASXL1 gene in the myelodysplastic syndromes and acute myeloid leukaemia.

The project involves the application of a number of techniques, including next-generation sequencing, cell culture (lentiviral constructs), gene expression profiling and genome-wide DNA methylation profiling. Further details are provided in the job description.

Candidates should hold a relevant degree. Research experience in molecular biology, cell culture (including lentiviral technology), FACS and gene expression profiling is essential. Applicants should have excellent communication skills, attention to detail and good computer skills. The post is full-time.
