A postdoctoral position is available for the study of radiation biology with an emphasis on minimizing oral radiation cytotoxicity. The research includes assessment of radiation survival, small molecule modulation of radiation response, evaluation of DNA repair kinetics, and in vivo studies of efficacy and toxicity. Candidates should have a strong background in molecular biology, cell biology, and DNA repair and recombination. They should be able to work independently and have sound general laboratory techniques including cloning, cell culture, purification of recombinant proteins, immunohistochemistry, microscopy, and animal handling.
