(一) 南京大学医学院

Medical School of Nanjing University

南京大学医学院肇始于 1935 年创建的中央大学医学院,是教育部直属的首个综合性大学七年制医学院,入选教育部卓越医生(拔尖创新)培养计划,以 “临床学家和医学科学家” 培养体系闻名。

The Medical School of Nanjing University originated from the Medical School of National Central University founded in 1935. It is the first seven-year medical school of a comprehensive university directly under the Ministry of Education, China. It was selected into the Ministry of Education’s Excellence in Doctoral Training Program (Elite and Innovative Medical Talents Program) and is famous for its “clinical scientist and medical scientist” training system.

学院拥有临床医学、基础医学一级学科博士点,临床医学、口腔医学和生物与医药专业博士学位授权点,临床医学和基础医学博士后流动站,构建起从基础研究到临床转化的全链条创新生态,临床医学学科在 ESI 全球排名中稳居前 1%。

The Medical School has first-level discipline doctoral programs in clinical medicine and basic medicine, professional doctoral degree authorization points in clinical medicine, oral medicine, and biology and medicine, and postdoctoral research stations in clinical medicine and basic medicine. It has built a full-chain innovation ecosystem featuring the transformation from basic research to clinical practice. The discipline of clinical medicine ranks among the top 1% in the ESI global ranking.

In recent years, relying on national and provincial science and technology infrastructures such as the National Resource Center for Mutant Mice and the State Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology, the Medical School has made breakthroughs in the fields of tumor immunotherapy, reproductive development regulation, and engineering medicine, etc.

学院汇聚了一支以院士领衔、国家级领军人才为中坚力量、国家级青年人才为后备的人才梯队。学院整合了南京鼓楼医院、东部战区总医院等附属医院的临床资源,构建了 “基础 - 临床 - 产业” 协同创新网络。作为长三角医学创新策源地,这里既是探索生命奥秘的科研殿堂,更是解决人类重大健康问题的战略支点。

The Medical School has brought together a team of talents led by academicians, with national leading talents as the backbone and national young talents as the reserve. The school has integrated the clinical resources of affiliated hospitals such as Nanjing Drum Tower Hospital and General Hospital of Eastern Theater Command, and built a collaborative innovation network of “basic research, clinical practice, and medical industry”. As the source of medical innovation in the Yangtze River Delta, it is not only a scientific research hall for exploring the mysteries of life, but also a strategic fulcrum for solving major health problems of mankind.

(二) 南京大学药学院

School of Pharmacy, Nanjing University

南京大学依托在生命科学、化学、基础医学等领域的深厚学科积淀,以及江苏省作为中国医药创新与制造高地的全产业链优势,全面融入国家级新区 —— 南京江北新区,在浦口校区高起点、高标准建设药学院。学院基于 “医药生物技术全国重点实验室” 与 “国家遗传工程小鼠资源库” 两大国家级科研平台,旨在打造学科深度交叉、源头创新活跃、转化通道畅达的未来药学前沿研究和人才培养高地。

Nanjing University is establishing a new, future-oriented School of Pharmacy at its Pukou campus in the Jiangbei New Area, one of China’s premier national innovation hubs. Anchored in the University’s internationally recognized strengths in life sciences, chemistry, and basic medicine, and supported by Jiangsu Province’s leading pharmaceutical ecosystem, the school is founded with a clear ambition: to become a world-class center for frontier research and talent cultivation in pharmacy.

The school is uniquely empowered by two national research infrastructures: the National Key Laboratory of Pharmaceutical Biotechnology and the National Resource Center for Mutant Mice. Together, they provide an unparalleled foundation for interdisciplinary collaboration, fundamental discovery, and efficient translational research.

学院将重点布局:

Strategic Research Pillars:

· Target Identification & Novel Molecular DiscoveryWe leverage strengths in basic science, disease biology, and model organisms to elucidate the mechanisms of major diseases—including cancer, metabolic, and neurological disorders—and to identify and validate new therapeutic targets. The school prioritizes the discovery and development of original drug modalities, spanning natural products, small molecules, biologics, and nucleic-acid-based therapeutics.

· AI-Driven Drug Design & Advanced DeliveryBy integrating artificial intelligence, big data, and materials science, we aim to redefine drug discovery. Key directions include AI-enabled rational design and virtual screening, as well as next-generation intelligent delivery systems for advanced modalities such as nucleic acid drugs and cell therapies.

· Translational Science & Preclinical DevelopmentAn integrated, international-standard preclinical platform—incorporating cutting-edge disease models and organoid technologies—accelerates candidate optimization and de-risking, enabling seamless transition from laboratory discovery to the downstream industrial and clinical pipeline.

· Frontier Pharmaceutical Technology ExplorationDedicated to expanding the frontiers of pharmaceutical sciences and exploring future possibilities, this pillar encourages and supports pioneering research into potentially transformative concepts, theories, and methodologies. We focus on fostering deep interdisciplinary convergence (e.g., integrating biotechnology, artificial intelligence, synthetic sciences, clinical medicine, engineering) to catalyze entirely new paradigms for drug discovery and disease intervention. The goal is to generate major scientific breakthroughs from their source, investigating and defining the future landscape of medicine. At its core, it is about knowledge creation, exploration of the unknown, and developing fundamental innovative solutions for human health challenges.

(三) 南京大学化工学院

School of Chemical Engineering, Nanjing University

南京大学化学化工学院始建于 1920 年,是我国最早设立的化学院系之一。1993 年,学校成立化学化工学院,同步建设化学系和化学工程系。2002 年,学校获得化学工程专业学位点,2022 年获批建设 “化学工程与技术” 一级学科博士点。2017 年、2021 年,南京大学化学工程与技术学科两次入选教育部 “世界一流学科” 建设名单。2025 年,学校在浦口校区正式成立化工学院,大力推进和加强 “化学工程与技术” 学科建设。

The School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Nanjing University, established in 1920, is one of the oldest and strongest in China. In 1993, Nanjing University founded the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, simultaneously establishing the Department of Chemistry and the Department of Chemical Engineering. In 2002, the professional degree program in chemical engineering was successfully obtained. In 2022, the doctoral program for the first-level discipline of "Chemical Engineering and Technology" was officially approved. In both 2017 and 2021, the "Chemical Engineering and Technology" discipline of Nanjing University was included in the Ministry of Education's "World-Class Disciplines" construction list. In 2025, Nanjing University established the School of Chemical Engineering at its Pukou Campus, marking a significant step to vigorously advance and strengthen the development of the "Chemical Engineering and Technology" discipline.

“化学工程与技术” 博士点现有博士生导师 30 余人,在精细分离技术、微界面反应强化技术、绿色催化合成技术、功能性环境友好材料等方面有良好基础。已承担近 400 余项国家级、省部级以及中国石油、中国石化、延长石油等特大型企业的基础及应用研究项目。曾获国家科技进步奖 1 项、中国发明创业特等奖 1 项,省部级科技奖一等奖 6 项、二等奖 4 项。

The "Chemical Engineering and Technology" doctoral program currently has over 30 doctoral supervisors. It has a solid foundation in the fields such as fine separation technology, micro-interface reaction intensification technology, green catalytic synthesis technology, and functional environmentally friendly materials. It has undertaken nearly 400 national, ministerial, and provincial-level basic and applied research projects, as well as projects from leading enterprises such as PetroChina, Sinopec, and Yanchang Petroleum. Its faculties have approved National Science and Technology Progress Award, Special Prize of China Invention and Entrepreneurship Award, provincial and ministerial science and technology awards, etc.

化工学院将重点建设化学工程、化学工艺、工业催化、材料化工、生物化工、智慧化工六个方向,适配国家战略需求和江北新区产业特点,实践 “校地企合作” 深度协同办学模式,积极引育一支具有国际竞争力的高水平师资队伍,培养基础厚、知识新、重应用的一流化工人才,着眼于原创性科学突破,解决前沿性关键技术,加快建成化工领域国内外具有重要影响力的科技创新和人才培养高地,为现代化强国建设提供人才、智力和技术支持。

The School of Chemical Engineering will focus on developing six key directions: chemical engineering, chemical technology, industrial catalysis, materials chemical engineering, biochemical engineering, and smart chemical engineering. Aligned with national strategic needs and the industrial characteristics of Nanjing Jiangbei New Area, the school will implement a deep collaborative education model of "university-region-enterprise cooperation." It will actively recruit and cultivate a high-level faculty team with international competitiveness, nurture top-tier chemical engineering talents with foundational knowledge, innovative expertise, and a focus on practical application. · 全面领导学院的行政管理工作,制定学院发展战略规划,明确发展目标与方向,推动教学科研与学科建设水平的全面提升,增强学院在国内外的学术影响力与核心竞争力。Take overall responsibility for the school’s administrative management; formulate strategic development plans; define goals and directions for growth; promote comprehensive advancement in teaching, research and discipline development; and enhance the school’s academic influence and core competitiveness both domestically and internationally.

· 全面负责学院教学、科研、学科建设等方面的工作,推进一流学院、一流学科建设和国际化进程。Take full responsibility for the school’s teaching, research and disciplinary development; advance the building of a world-class school and world-class disciplines; and promote the school’s internationalization.

· 制定并实施学院人才队伍建设规划,引进和培养一批高水平的学科带头人、教学科研骨干和优秀青年教师,打造一支结构合理、素质优良的教师队伍。Formulate and implement plans for faculty development; recruit and cultivate high-level academic leaders, core teaching and research staff, and excellent young teachers; and build a well-structured, high-quality faculty team.
