Applications are invited for one postdoctoral scholar position in the Sino-French Institute of Nuclear Engineering and Technology (IFCEN), Sun Yat-sen University. The successful candidate will work with Dr. Zidu Lin and his collaborators on 1) neutrino-nuclear matter reactions in compact stars: investigating the impact of microscopic neutrino reactions on the macroscopic evolution of core-collapse supernovae and neutron stars; 2) neutrino-nucleus reactions: exploring the interaction mechanisms between neutrinos and nuclei; 3) neutrino multi-messenger physics: constrain the dense matter properties and the dynamics of compact stars using neutrino, EM and GW signals. Candidates with expertise and interests in neutron-rich nuclei structure, dense matter equations of state, neutrino-nuclear matter interactions, and modern AI/ML methods are particularly encouraged to apply. The position is for two years, with extensions possible for up to one additional year.
