We are seeking a motivated and creative postdoctoral fellow to join the Epidermal Biology Laboratory team at the Medical University of Innsbruck (Austria), and help drive groundbreaking advancements at the intersection of skin research and hematology.

Our team is dedicated to advancing scientific knowledge in the field of atopic dermatitis. Our team size allows for continuous discussions and support. We are experts in skin biology, atopic dermatitis and metabolism, and we use a broad range of experimental models, such as primary cells from patients, 3D skin and mouse models.

Project: Atopic dermatitis (AD) is a chronic, relapsing inflammatory skin condition with a high yearly prevalence worldwide. It is a complex disease with significant comorbidities, including an increased risk of hematological malignancies. This project builds on a recent publication from our group ('Patients with atopic dermatitis show increased clonal hematopoiesis and risk of hematological cancer'. Allergy. 2025 Sep;80(9):2646–2649) and aims to identify and understand the relationship between AD and hematological cancers. This work will mainly use patient material.

Qualifications: We are seeking a dynamic fellow with:

ü A PhD in Immunology, Hematology, Cancer Biology or related fields.

ü Proven experience in cell culture and cell and molecular biology techniques as well as flow cytometry.

ü Effective written/verbal English communication skills.

Funding is available to support this position for two years, with the possibility of extension. Applications are open until the position is filled. The start date is flexible within the first quarter of 2026. The salary is 欧元4,950 gross per month (approximately 欧元3,200 net, 14 times, 40 hours per week).
